Delete your account
Last updated: 19 October 2026
How to delete your account in your.move, the couples game app made by DonkeyCat GmbH, and what happens to your data when you do.
Delete it in the app
This is the quickest way, and it works at once.
- Open your.move and tap the gear at the top of the chat to open Settings.
- Scroll down to Account and tap Account & safety.
- Tap Delete my account, then Delete forever.
Your account is deleted straight away and the app signs you out. What you sent disappears from your partner's chat. This cannot be undone. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
Ask us to delete it, without the app
No app or no phone any more? Email yourmove@donkeycat.com from any email address, with the subject “Delete my account”. Accounts in your.move are not tied to an email address or a real name, so tell us enough to find yours:
- your couple code, if you have it: the words shown in Settings under Invite link & couple code, or the code in the invite link you sent;
- otherwise your display name and your partner's name in the app, roughly when you started playing, and whether you used an iPhone or an Android phone.
If we cannot tell which game is yours, we ask one follow-up question. When you write to us we also delete your usage analytics, tap trail, diagnostics and support chats. We confirm by email once it is done, within 30 days at most, and use your email address only for this request.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, these are removed from our live database at once:
- your account and every sign-in session;
- every move you sent, with its tasks, treats and ratings, and every message you sent;
- your wishlist;
- your profile (display name, photo link and status line) and your moods;
- your Get Kinky habits, check-ins and aftercare notes, and your Kink Compass answers;
- your read receipts, reactions and card ratings;
- your home screen widget token and any open requests to restore a phone;
- your couple's deck: the cards dealt to it and where they stand.
Your place in the couple is emptied and the game is marked as ended. Daily backups of our database are kept for 7 days, so within a week the deleted data is gone from the backups too.
What is kept, and for how long
- Your partner's side: the moves, messages and wishes your partner sent are theirs and are not deleted with your account. They go when your partner deletes their own account.
- The ended game: the couple record is marked as ended, not erased. The game code, relationship type, the sex and language you chose, your phone's notification token, and the invite with its treat and quiz answers stay on it, with no account attached. Cards the two of you wrote for your deck also stay with it.
- Files: photos, videos and voice notes you sent stay in storage as encrypted files that we cannot open. Your profile photo, task proof photos and pictures on your own cards can stay too. These files are not yet removed automatically.
- Usage analytics, tap trail and diagnostics: these are stored under the phone's install identifier and your couple's random id, not under your account, so deleting the account does not remove them.
- Support chats and survey answers: what you wrote to us from Help & support stays in DonkeyCat's support system, and answers to our in-app surveys stay in our database.
- Purchases: store receipts for Plus or packs (product, date, price and transaction number) are kept as long as Austrian tax and accounting law requires, usually seven years. Apple and Google keep their own payment records. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions.
- Legal duties: if an account broke our rules, for example our Child Safety Standards, we keep what the law requires us to preserve for law enforcement, for as long as it requires.
Everything in this list except purchase records and legal holds can go too: email yourmove@donkeycat.com and we delete it within 30 days.
